do polo 9n's have wholes under the side bump strips?
my local body shop said if you want to spray them up the best thing to do is to take them off, buy new ones - as you can't put them back on again after youve taken them off - spray them and put the new ones on.
are they just stuck on or what?
i'd like to remove them altogether but i dont want to weld up wholes and re-spray the whole thing
i want them either colour coded or just gone as i hate polishing a black car, back-to-black ing the whole thing, standing back and seeing these blackish/fading greyey plastick strips down the side of an otherwise smooth car
any sugestions for least expense?
does any one know....

spoke to my local dub dealer and he said there are wholes under the strips which would need filling as i thought
this puzzled me as i just spoke to a bloke at eurotec who said,
"just pull em off, theres no wholes"
lucky i got a second opinion from vw
the chap at veedub said they have one in at the mo with the door off and the side strip is off and there are wholes
he also said you can buy smooth side strips - rather than the original textured ones - all ready to be painted for about £38 ish each side, then a can of spray paint and a can of clear laquer (bout £10 each) quite easy to paint them yourself and your away
