Post by nickpolo »

when i open the boot, if you look at your knees, you see a recess and two rubber straps in the boot, are these for a fire extinguisher?

halfords for sure, just not sure if it would fit. not really after one, but would be interested at the correct price for a VW part one.

Vagparts may do it, but I guess its a 'geniune accessory' rather than a part as such, but you never know

I *think* it was part of a safety package option when buying the car new

Dealerships may still have the hardcopy of the accessory book for the 00' Polo - a flick through that might be needed..

Im sure in mainland Europe its a legal requirement to have one? Perhaps its supplied in that market by VW

I found a few on ebay

just search for 'vw warning triangle' and it comes up with vw and audi triangles for sale. I believe they are vw ones as they fold up nice and small and one auction I saw even mentioned the use of the straps for storage in the boot

hope helps?
