fitting a 9n armrest into a gti

hi guys,

iu know you can get balck versions of these armrests for the 9n, am wondering if anyone has fitted one in their polo gti? i know you can get aftermarket ones for the 6n2 but not sure about them - the ones i saw looked fugly - has anyone fitted either, anyone? any advice, pics, thoughts?

dont think itll fit, as the mk5 was based on an mk4 (i had 1 u see :lol: ) and from memory is quite narrow, i dont think it has enough room to accomdate the base/tray thing in at the bottom..if u see what im talking about.

sorry guys, have corrected it now.

i'm really eager to get an armrest, and dont want it to look too out of place - just feel like its the one thing missing from a good interior

No but i want to. One of the GTi's i went to see had a leather armrest so i assume its possible?

The Kamei German website http://www.kamei.de/ww/en/pub/products.cfm lists both leather and fabric centre armrests for the Polo 6N, but not the 6N2 specifically. I'd suggest checking with a UK Kamei supplier.

Personally I can't really see the attraction, I associate arm rests with driving sedate automatic Mercs, not rapid VW GTI's. But hey, each to their own :)

i got a mk4 golf sitting outside with a lovely cream leather armrest :)
looks abit hard as i take it you need the handbrake surround too ?? :?
