Not sure where to post this but General it is.
Is it better to buy a Mk5 or a Mk4 from the money side of things?
I know buying it is more expensive but will I save money on the repairs that I wont have to do to a Mk4?
Also is there any real difference in fuel economy? In real life not on paper?
Mk4 or Mk5
Which is why i think the extra few grand will be saved in the long run through fewer repairs and better fuel consumption.jon_poloV wrote:personal opinion but the mk5 is a much 'newer' car than the mk4.
Jon
A decent condition Mk4 goes for about £1900 but then needs about £600 spent on repairing it, Cam Belt etc.
but Mk5's are going for the lower end of the £3000 mark
