Can some one help!
i have found a central lockin kit on flea-bay can you guys do me a big favour and read the specs (vital bits below-full spec plz open link) and tell me if this is the thing i need to turn my 6n into a central locking keyless entry car?

key points of specs>

This system has one master solenoid/control that has 5 wires. This means that the driver has full control over the locking/unlocking of all four doors.

You will get the following:

• 1 main processing unit
• 1 master door solenoids (5 wires)
• 3 slave door solenoids (2 wires)
• 2 wireless remote controls
• All necessary wires and fixture for installation
• Wiring diagram

the above are an outline -- open the link below for further info

thanks for your help -- also is it hard to fit?

thnks alot people

Got one of these on my work van mate, took me about 2 hours to do 3 doors, with all wires nicely hidden, cable tied etc.
You'll need a drill to mount the motors, and some wire coat hangers are useful as they bend easier than the rods in the kit.
it's a bit noisy TBH, makes a loud clunk when operating, and the remotes work from miles away making it easy to accidently unlock my van from inside peoples houses
Also, the batteries in my remotes died within about 2 weeks, reckon they were old, replaced them and the new ones have lasted 3 months so far.
It's cheap though, but I'd spend a little more on a better quality kit if it was for my car.

I bought a similar kit on ebay, works fine most of the time except the one time that it locked all the doors and I physically couldn't unlock it.. had to force it to open again :?
Also, the kit doesn't lock the car with a pleasing 'whiiiiiir' sound, it just goes 'clunk' and that's it. Bit of a minor point but it would have been nice to let people know that I actually bothered to fit central locking, as it is it just sounds like the locking mechanism's a bit stiff

Edit: Looking at that kit, it's just the same as mine except mine didn't have the remote attachment. In which case I'd say, it does the job but absolutely no frills attached, and you probably ought to prepare to be locked in from time to time..
