Mrk2 golf gti

Post by Barney »

i've had my 1.4 polo now for over a year and i'm bored with it , more importantly i'm bored with being overtaken by chavs in s**t cars . so seen as though i'm workin full time now i thought i'd put some money aside for a quicker car . i've always liked the mark 2 so i set my eyes on one of them but unlike the polo comunity i cant find any decent sites like this for a mark 2 so does anyone know of any decent sites out there . oh and ps what do you all think to the mark 2's

Im a fan of the mk2.

What sort of budget have you got? Are you looking for a unmodded car?

I have 2 mk2 golf gtis at the moment 8)

The best forum in my opinion is www.clubgti.com/forum ,but theres also a section on the edition 38 forum too

Bear in mind that straight mk2 golfs are getting increasingly hard to find. The first choice you have to make is wether you want the 8 or 16v, as 16v's are much harder to find.

all depends on what age 16v you go for. If its pre-90 spec (small bumpers etc) then you can pick them up for sub £500, however i've seen 90spec ones with big bumpers/power steering/leccy windows etc go for over £2500!
