done a bit on the GT today, and what wheels are these???!!!

Post by minis84 »

Hey

Am a happy chappy today, and I'll feel a bit safer driving down the M1 on the way to work, cos I've fitted a high level brake light. Managed to mount it extremely unobtrusively (hardly any wires visible as I hate that). Here's a pic:

I also hard wired my Road Angel too, which is nice :D

Secondly, what wheels are these??

They look like Alleycats? 14"? And the car looks like its had about a 40mm drop? If so then where do I get some from? I think its looks amazing....(thanks martin for showing me the pic too!)

Cheers!

Would have said 60mm drop? Yeah, I think those are 14" Alleycats.

I think Heartagram on Club Polo is selling a set

Hi-level brake light looks good! Where did you buy it from?

these were heartagrams alleycats, don't know if he's still got them available?

although it says they're 108 PCD therefore wrong for polo's unless you buy an adapter.

p.s second that on del's GT, in my opinion one of my favorite polos ever, it does help with his stunning photoshoots though 8)

yeah I've been thinking for ages that Del's GT looks stunning, and that some more pics would be good!

The brake light is a Ring LED light, purchased from Vehicle Wiring Products in Ilkeston

http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.co.u ... hts-2.html

Its about 2/3 of the way down.

I don't think it would fit a squareback though polonuts, because its designed to mount from 35 through to 60degrees, so the near-vertical window of the squareback wouldn't be suitable, although you could modify the light quite easily by removing the LED section and fabricating your own support for it :D

Looks really neat and in keeping with the car as a whole. Nice added safety.

yeah I did a similar modification to my GT. Ran the wires inside the tailgate and down through the rubber pipe into the car. Thought it was a good idea after being crashed into twice in less than 2 years.

Its a 36LED one I got off ebay, but its been a year since I did it so I cant show you what the item was. I used mechano to mount mine.
