Save money on fuel?

Post by polock »

Here's something that was posted on a smart car forum the other day, apparently it has been thoroughly checked it out and it seems legit. It should give you a discount of between 5p & 10p per litre off your petrol. Loads of people have signed up. Have a look, that can't do any harm, and you may eventually gain from it.

What do u guys & gals think? :D

I signed up a month ago - no spam yet, seems genuine
Dear Dave Burton,

Thank you for registering with Pipeline and demonstrating your support for lower fuel prices.

I am pleased to say that the campaign is making great progress. We are in active discussions with a major fuel retailer to negotiate discounts on petrol across the whole of the UK. This will be achieved through a special discount card which will be issued free of charge to all our members as soon as the group is large enough.

We will be posting out occasional updates to members in the next few weeks but meanwhile, if you have any questions about Pipeline, do feel free to email me.

It may take me a while to get back to you, and your question may have been answered elsewhere, so please keep take a look at the FAQ on the website http://www.pipelinecard.org/ before you write.

If you have a website, I would encourage you to link to the Pipeline site and to tell others about what we are doing. The more members we have, the better the discount we can negotiate.

With best wishes,

Ben Scammell

Got this from UK-MKIV's...

a little searching public records finds..

www.pipelinecard.org is owned by Ben Scammell.

also owner of www.scammell.com
"Scammell Network Computing Limited" which looks like its gone bust and now that domain just displays.
www.phonebackup.co.uk - Never loose your mobile numbers again!
www.findmyfriends.com - Track your friends or employees by their mobile!

before that he also bought
www.mobilisation.co.uk

Not saying there's anything dodgy going on, but he seems to have lots of idea and schemes to make money.

His privacy policy does says he wont sell or pass on your info to marketers. however i'm sure he'd love to use you info for his own companies.
