how motorways work

Post by david burton »

I posted this link within a topic a few days ago, now I've sorted it out and almost got the site 100% finished.

http://www.howmotorwayswork.co.uk

I moved the domain to sniffhost.net and it seems to be pointing to there now, so it should be fast for everyone.

White vans is the page I've yet to do, and "sheep". But I feel it's good enough to launch as it is 8)

It might appear a bit pompous, it's hard to tell if the style offends as I've been writing it for the last few weeks and I'm a bit numb to it!

suggestions welcome

 funny stuff, and useful, maybe you'll help free some middle laners from their curse.

i got to admit that i do the slowing down to 70 when going past police though, but i'll stop now, that is if there isn't mass tail backs stopping me from going over 70.

quality website though, love the new motorway signs.

i think alot of it would help if drivers were allowed to be taught how to drive on motorways when they're learning, i've never understood why learners aren't allowed on there when motorways are one of the main and most dangerous skills to master.

I'm probably a bit too aggressive at times, using the inside lane to prove a point perhaps too frequently!

bigger challenge to push each of the 8 valves even further.
!
Oh...so true.... I've probably lost a few valves... no wonder the car seems even slower now.

Good site, I do a crazy amount of motorway driving. White van man is possibly the worst. This month on the M1 there have been 3 accidents on my way to work, all involving white vans. They drive the closest of any drivers (my pet hate) and the most erratic.

Don't you just love it when a car thats tailgating you in the outside lane undertakes you and slots in between you and the car infront, and then BRAKES because he is too close. That and people in traffic jams/queues trying to get as close to the car infront as possible.
