Headlamp Washer traumas

Post by Monteey »

Hi guys and gals
Well had my gti for just over 2 weeks now and hugely impressed by it, i love it!
Only problem thats cropped up is the headlight washers dont seem to want to pop up and work anymore. I know they only work when the lights are on and i can hear the pump running then stopping after a second or so, but they arent popping up at all on either side.

Any ideas, do they stop working when the fluid level is low, i assume they feed off the main windscreen wash tank
Thanks for any pointers

IIRC, when your washer bottle gets low, they stop working.

Try filling the tank up to the brim, then trying them again.

Yeah that's right Josh, that happened with mine, check the level in your washer bottle, if you have under a litre in it they don't work.

I was kindly informed of that when it happened with mine.

Hope that helps.

Also check to see if the water pipes are attached and so its not pissing on the floor.

Most likely the reasons posted above though!
