A short video

Post by DelG40 »

Here's a short little video me and a mate made tonight. Just like to experiment with video and editing.

It features my car - so, Polo related :)

Hope you like, tell us what you think :D

If you've never used it before, then yes. It's a constant learning curve. A lot to take it and a LOT to learn. I moved onto it from Premiere 6 and I found it tricky. Once you start using it and learning though > 8)

I over all like it.

The tune - annoying I like. Lol. It didnt offend me and then I decided it was quite nice.

The only thing I didnt like was the black and white - I would rather have seen the colour.

I get a bit of a chip on my shoulder about this one.

Because;
If a subject looses something by being in colour - dont just make it black and white because it looks all "arty". A subject needs to seriously warrent loosing its colour and becoming black and white in my opinion. I've seen waay too many photos in black and white, done just to look like an arty photo.
(in the old days photos where black and white due to technology and some photos still are as black and white still film can pick up more tonal range and can produce a grainy effect which can look nice)
On film I often just think "whats wrong with colour?!?"

Mind you, i'm just some random schmoe on the net with two numbers for a name (and a VW polo)

The choices for a black and white video were made to play off the white bars top and bottom *see here, and here*, the fact we both HATE inner city 'orange' lighting and my car is black.
