K&N Panel Filter

Post by PhilGTi »

Fitted the filter yesterday, car seems to pull alot better and is smoother. Would definatly recommend one to anyone. Sound is only slightly different, can hear air being sucked slightly too. Very nice!!!

I wouldn't have thought so as It's just a replacement filter, whereas an Induction kit is a totally different thing.

I checked the part No on the K&N site. I don't think this will fit the GTI despite the description. Also looks different as well.

Anyone getting a k&n panel filter make sure you get the one with product code '33-2774' !, before my bmc I had a K&N and originally had the one above and even though it did fit it was a bit loose and was actually for the 8v engine airbox. It was listed incorrectly (in demon tweeks anyway) but the correct one should be lsited on the K&N website. I replaced the wrong one with the correct '33-2774' filter and it fits perfectly, there was discussion about it agggeees ago btw !
