:D Hi ya all, I've been looking 4 ages 4 a site like this. I'm Courtney and as u probably guested by the user name I own a Black Polo GTi. I've only had it Nine months ran in to problems. Now fixed and running lovely. First thing I've done 2 my car was 2 take out the stereo and I have put in Kenwood Head Unit in, Wid a MP3 autochanger, Kicker 7"x10's" in the parcel shelf. Kicker Comp VR Sub running off a Sony Amp XM504X. I have also fitted a Piperx induction kit 2 the motor and it sounds fine as, and runs nicely. :D Looking 2 lower the car, tune the engine, change the exhaust system, and increase the ICE install. Cheers hope 2 chat 2 u all soon. :)

Hey chaps thanks i've added you all to my msn list too.

The problem I had run into was the same as most other owners. That thing they call a clutch. So i gave VW a piece of my mind cause after they fixed it it went back three more time as the technician couldn't do the job properly.

Now its fixed I accidently clipped the house wall  please don't ask i'm embrassed bout it but no major damage.

Can anyone tell me what the polo's are like when lowered as what springs i should get?

Cheers chaps

I'm getting mine lowered on springs this weekend (H&R - Was going to be Eibach, but there was going to be a 2 week wait, so I'm getting H&R)

I'll let you know what it's like!

well when I lowered the car last year I was a bit disapointed 'cause 35 or 40mm isn't enough for the visual aspect....the car is still too high :x

so I ordered some coilovers...I think it's the only way to get the car really low and enjoy the ride.

One thing: if you lower the car only with springs and keep your original stock absorber they'll get tired faster and you'll have to change them....and it won't be has hard as you wish it could be...
