Audi S-Line gear knob adaptable to 6n2's?

Hi there

Can anyone tell me if the Audi S-Line gear knob is plugplay on a Polo 6n2?

It looks it. I'd say you'd need to change the plastic ring at the bottom of the gaitor but other than that it looks nearly identical. I suppose the shaft diameter may be differant though...

If I replace that plastic ring with the one from the old gaitor, it should do, wouldn't it?

If the shaft diameter is different, what can I do to fit the knob? Replace the shaft?
