I cannot believe just how stunningly clean and shiny your paint is 182_blue! WOW
I plan to claybar my Polo in the Spring, its in real need of some TLC. I understand this should help remove some of the imperfections in my paint? AFAIK I need to:
a. wash and thoroughly dry the car
b. claybar
c. wash again
d. wax
Sound about right? Also, have you got more details on the polisher that you use, it sounds like it is a great help in getting that perfick finish!
I have to admit though that I don't use Megs at the moment, but looking at your detailing thread, it might be time to try some. My sister's bloke is an Autoglym reseller so I get cheap AG products
Top work, can't believe you are willing to put so much effort in at this time of year! Much respect!

use of a claybar will only remove contaminants in your paint, it does not remove swirl marks etc, but you will be amazed at the crap it removes from your paint, and yes your regime that your planning looks good.
the #83 is a dual action cleaner polish, #80 is a speed glaze, #21 is a paint sealer, they can all be hand applied but of course you wont get the results that the machine will, to properly remove the swirls on your bonnet you would really need a pc, but it can be done by hand (this may take forever LOL)moynas wrote:Good god, Right 182 can i ask a few questions please!

my final wax for winter is collinite 476's, but in the summer it will be nattys blue wax.
if you want your bonnet sorting perhaps join detailing world and ask for someone local to you to give your car a pc'ing ,lots of people get theres done by members.
use a good leather conditioner, autoglym one is quite good, so is the megs one, for wheels i use megs wheel brightner, also autoglym engine cleaner ig good to (dont use there alloy cleaner), for tyres poorboys bold and bright is very good, so is autoglym tyre finish and megs endurance tyremkone wrote:Now why cant my car look as good as that? What would you recommend for cleaning my leather interior, and what do you recommend for wheels + tyres? Sorry to be a pain. Thanks in advance!
Cheers mate. Need to try and get the claybar clean sorted before March (famous last words) as it'll be show season then... it'll be a good start at least, the pc is a bit expensive at the moment though, although looks like it saves a helluva lot of effort and gets far superior results!182_blue wrote:use of a claybar will only remove contaminants in your paint, it does not remove swirl marks etc, but you will be amazed at the crap it removes from your paint, and yes your regime that your planning looks good.
