handing your car back
I have had my car for 3 years and took it over 5years, can I hand it back to them saying I dont want it and not have to pay anything? a guy in my work is doing it with his bora sport as he is getting a new focus ST and he still owes nine grand on his bora.
Re: handing your car back
Usually when you get about halfway through your agreement (around about now really) VW will be in touch to offer you a settlement with a view to part-exing on a newer (or new) car. Happens quite a lot, although often you may have to add a little extra cash into the settlement to close the deal, as your car will most likely be valued at a touch less than your remaining debt!badboypolo wrote:I have had my car for 3 years and took it over 5years, can I hand it back to them saying I dont want it and not have to pay anything? a guy in my work is doing it with his bora sport as he is getting a new focus ST and he still owes nine grand on his bora.
You can hand the car back and settle the finance at any point during the deal as long as you're prepared to use a bit of cash to make up the numbers though, so if you want to do it, then it is possible. I was going to take this route with my GTI and have a new one, but have now decided that it simply isn't affordable on my current wages
