i wounder if it was standard on the 51 plate models
Mines 51 plate (registered 2001, September i think) was that the last year for this model

I want auto wipers and a dimming mirror
wonder if there easy to get fitted.
I do have a Sun roof and Climate control tho. I think mines an oldy, registered March2000 W reg.
every gti is different lol

the auto dim and auto wipers were never standard.
i suspect if you wanted them you'd need a new windscreen as it is different, plus a new wiper stalk, new mirror, and wiring

I asked once, a long time ago, about retro-fitting the dimming rear-view mirror. I think it can be done by sourcing the mirror from VAGparts or a scrappy, but it all needs wiring up and testing so I think it was looking like a three-figure job in the end...

Incidentally, I've got a pre-alignment car so have manual AC and a sunroof

just a couple of wires leading to the nozzles under the bonnet, presumably they warm a small area, like the rear of the heated mirror glass, and this ensures that they're not frozen when you use them

Right i have 5dr gti xplate sep 2000
It has
manual ac
electric sunroof
autodim rear mirror
fancy wiper thingy
plus usual gti trimmings
can i change to climate control easily????
