i put in new spark plugs and an air filter yesterday and now my car is juddering when i put the clutch down, i'm new to this kindof thing really but my incling is that the spark plug gap is too big, i did 0.8mm but i'm thinking maybe it should have been 0.7? i've got bosche W7DTC plugs.

any ideas coz it's making me need the toilet everytime i sit at traffic lights

Are you sure all plugs are in tightly(but not over tight) and all leads are making a good connection (stupid I know). I could be wrong but I wouldn't reckon that the plug gap being slightly out would make that mad of a difference. Checka lso that you didn't knock anything loose, if it's like mine then you've to remove the aircleaner to get at the plugs, if you did this check that all the wee pipes and hoses are connected up again as it;s easy to accidentally pull one off.

Is it running too fast? Have seen a car before where the timing was advanced instead of service then when it was serviced the tick over was mad fast on it.

Cheers Jim, i'll have a check of it all tomorrow morning, i probably have just knocked something or done the plugs or leads loose/tight, i used a torque wrench on the plugs so i can't see that being the problem really. if anything my engine seems to be a bit more slower and progressive, taken off some of the acceleration at low speeds but it seems to cope better now going up hills and cruising along etc :?
