Custom made stealth parcel shelf?

Post by andybtsn »

After being let down by someone, after we had agreed for me to purchase their stealth shelf, i'll make my own.

MK3 Parcel shelf to run some 6x9's,w what's the best way to do it? and materials i'll need?

Please keep info to the shelf, and not "6x9's are s**t" LOL

Pics of your own would be appreciated?

Hi,
regards to your shelf i think you should make it in 2 pieces,
a top and bottom half so to speak
the top half would be a frame sort of shape-cut to fit the shelf space with no middle.
then under that i would screw in a secondary sheet, this is what you would screw you speakers into.
never made one myself but i reckon that would be the logical way to do it+if you do change the speakers (to better ones??) later on you just need to change the bottom half!!

please feel free to correct me if i'm wrong-have done a basic pic (ahem very basic!!)
