hey fellow inthusiasts,

ive just invested in a 1994 mkIII polo, and very nice it is lol. i was just wonderin where i should start in terms of modifying :?: Im just wantin to try n get a bit more performance out of it, i was a bit disapointed cos a fiesta nearly did me at the lights :oops: so any ideas guys? all suggestions welcome!

welcome 2 the forum! :D you havent said which engine is in your polo, so that will determine wot engine mods you can do & what gains you will get.

First things first. Get the car running like it should, make sure it can breathe properly and everything's in order.

What he said - Damn good service and tune.

Guessing it's a carbed engine CL, etc, rather an a GT or G40?

yea it is a cl. think i need to invest in a new air filter, standard 1 lookin a bit worn. n den giv the rest of it a damn good seein too. :D just 1 Q, wats a lambda probe n wer is it n wtas it for etc????

lambda probe is what measure your exhaust emissions, its connected to the ECU and from there it justs the fueling to the engine.

i.e. if the lambda probe pics up it running a bit juicy, it will reduce the amount of fuel going into the engine!

as for location, if you follow the down pipe down under the engine, u'll come to the cat, it is around that area on the top of the exhaust! you shouldn't miss it! :wink:
