If the alarm is locking the car again it as has been said before does this if it thinks no doors have been opened. I would check the switches on all the doors it may be a one or two are faulty. A quick check would be if the interior light comes on when each door is opened, as the alarm uses the same switches. My first port of call would be the door your daughter used to get in the car, the switch might just be sticky.

You can buy the cupholder part pretty cheap. Not hard to retrofit.

No idea mate, no doubt somebody on here knows, all I know is it's quality.
Especially when you rushing home with a Burger King, you can still take corners fast without worrying about your drink going over
