1.4CL 1998 polo - Front fog lights question

Post by modulus »

Hi,

I have a 1998 1.4 CL 3door Polo without front fog lights as an option. How difficult would it be to alter my car so it would be exactly as if I bought the car with the front fog lights option?
Parts?
Approx price?
Any advice most welcome.
Cheers.

Hmm, didn't know any Polos with 8v bumpers and front fogs,

as far as I know they only fitted 16v bumpers?

Ive got fogs on my 8v. I had mine in a 'kit' containing the lights and all wires to connect them, and the new lower grille inserts with holes for the fogs, part number 6N099139 £133.88 (net) All I then had to buy was the uprated switch operating front and rear fogs, part number 6N2941531J20H £58.76 (net)

I ordered and fitted my fogs in August last year

Hope this helps bud

Yup. the standard one only operates te rear fog, the one you have to buy operates both, so you can have the front fog on without having the rear on.

Hi,
Thanks for your replies. Where did you order the front fog lights kit and new switch from?
Cheers.
