Wing Mirror

Hello,

Since monday night i have required my sisters 1992 cl coupe. On thursday some wee B@stard cracked the passenger side mirror, they have struck it on the top left corner of the mirror, which has forced that corner way back in the the casing.

This has allowed me to look up at lamp posts and do some star gazing while driving.

I have tried to pull the corner out so that it sits correctly, but i could only get it to come forward abit. Though the minute i Drove off it went back inside the casing again.

I have also tried using the adjuster in the door panel, but that only moved the mirror slightly up and down on one side i think. The adjuster Knob itself is being pulled to the bottom right. As you move the knob and release it, you can feel the knob moving to the bottom right.

Do you think i can get away with just removing the glass and replacing it and this will fix the adjuster mechanism and mirror?? Or does it sound like i will have to replace whole wing mirror? Has the adjuster mechanism been damaged?

Not had a proper look at it yet. Thought i would ask on here first.
