Wahey, polos landed pt 2 polos dead:(

Post by Matty2021 »

How can this happen, on the day of gettin it taxed/motd, ma polos jus blown the head gasket. Not exactly what i wanted but hey, gettin it in the garage tommorow, skimmin' etc. Meh, one of them things i guess.
One more thing, theres a wierd metallic rattle when i put my foot right to the floor, but it doesnt do it when the accelerator is only half pressed. Any ideas? Thanks very much

could just be a hole in the exhaust manifold gasket

mine was a bugger for that at one point. it blew like three times, between two different mechanics, before they could get a quality one that seated properly.

sounds a bit like an old aircooled beetle (or a bag of spanners attacking a sewing machine), particularly wide throttle at lower revs?

Check the bloody oil level on your box, pronto!

Losing 5th = classic sign of low box oil...
