MK6 GTI!!!

Does anyone know why we never got it in the UK? I think it looks a lot nicer than the latest GTI

I think its just a photochop, They tested the 1.8t in the 9n in germany, I would imagine in readiness for the 9n2.

Dont think its a photochop it looks like its been scanned in from a magazine you can see the crease of the page. Shame we never got a GTI over here

I'm sure they were on sale in germany ? Looks good anyway

Yep looks like a scanned image to me too, how many photochop do you see in say Autoexpress? Loads!

Can promise you it was never made, I have spent hours looking through the german VW site, and have never seen a 9n GTI, they brought the GT out late, and decided to wait for the 9n3 before making a GTI version.

If im wrong you can shoot me down in a ball of flames!

P.S you're right it does look good!!!

that photoshop has been around for some time, but sadly there is no 9n1 GTI. The closest you get in the 9n1 shell is the pd130.

It is a 9N/Golf V GTi photoshop. And yes, we really are dissapointed that we never saw such a car out in the streets

I read about that in CAR magazine, they tested it in France (I think) and got a good review IIRC, although can't find the mag at the moment!

Looks good for the new one though.

Ah well shame they didnt make it I would of had my name down for one if they had!!

I can't either, look at the Golf. There's been a Golf GTi since MK1 and there's still one now on MK5 or 6 whatever we're on

Yeah it's strange why in the past theres only ever been one model of the polo gti

IMO that Mk6 gti looks a hell of a lot nicer than the Mk7

To be all technical, there's been two Polo GTi models.

VW made a GTi version of the Mk4 Polo, wasn't avaliable in right hand drive and was limited production of only 3000 I think.

Yeah didnt it have the same engine as the 6n2?
