hehe the BMC is more for the power side of things and is so much quieter than the k&n!
During my slightly chav phase i opted for a k&n on my 1.0 8v (they don't make one for the 6n2 1.0, so i purchased one for a 6n 1.0 and it fit straight on)
it really is noisy when you put your foot to the floor

a pic if anyones interested in how i made it fit......

so did you just cut out a hole in the top of the cover and fit the filter straight on? and did you cut a hole in the side of the old air box for your air intake pipe?

cheers tim

cut hole in engine cover and removed the standard filter components from underneath the engine cover
