Coilover questions...bolts? (6n2)

Post by JKM_GTI »

Ok, I should be getting my coilovers fitted soon, just wondering, from peoples experience with fitting coilovers, what bolts are likely to need replacing? Is it ok to use the originals?

If I do need to replace them, what bolts are they? Part numbers? I am asking as my friend might be able to fit them for free, rather then spend £££’s getting them fitted at a garage.

They are for a polo gti if that helps.

Thanks in advance!

if all the bolts that need to be removed get a good spray with WD-40 or somethin similar and a good wire brush then they should be fine!

i fitted the coilovers on my own carand used the original bolts, no problem!

hope that helped

also i would recommend TWO people for this job
some bits can become quite tricky when your holding a bit and trying to screw something else in

Good luck
