if only human eyes told as many lies as cameras do. The wheels are a bit grubby tbh but thanks for the comments. :D Ive fitted them just to see what they look like, will have to look into getting them refurbed at some point.

As for not posting, it doesnt seem right to have a picture thread in this section, and for some reason in the picture section, no one ever replies to posts. thats my excuse for not posting pics here anyway (until now :D)

the members rides section doesn't let you reply, sposed to just be a gallery so you just make a thread.

probably wouldn't be too hard to give them a polish yourself, it's hard work doing it from scratch but if it's already done then just get a polishing kit from frost and you'll have them looking fresh from the refurbers in an afternoon.

at the moment theyre laquered, and its the laquer peel thats making them look a bit pants, The rears are diamond cut and the front are poished (possibly never been refurbed before?) But if I had the choice id go for diamond cut as its lower maintenace (assuming the laquer gets a good grip)

Theyre VERY early mk2 polo mirrors (81-82 model year only) It didnt have them to begin with (mines an '83) This one has them too. Hens teeth, especially remote adjustable ones. They do look miles better than the ones on stalks, but I think they got changed due to not being very aerodynamic.

The ones ive got arent internally adjustable, which isnt the end of the world as the non-adjustable ones look a bit better anyway, but if your car has adjustable mirrors like mine did then you have to figure out a way of covering the hole up in the doorcard. I just disconeected the cables from the adjuster knobs and left them in place!

Scirocco mirrors are an ok fit, Ive got a set requirirng new glass I keep meaning to stick on my GT, you need to use cables from a polo (rocco ones are too short) and the holes in the door need to be enlarged as the position of the bolt holes are slightly different.

It definatley needs to be a shade lower at the front, ive said it a couple of times. The height at the back is spot on though, i just hope the new suspension soon to be going on doesnt travel quite as much as the old stuff (being a derby it can carry alot of stuff in the boot! This is how it looked as i was leaving to go to the polo show, loaded up with camping gear and a set of wheels i was selling.
