Dear oh dear

Post by ModifiedMadness »

I went to the Retail Park in Bedford earlier to get some gloves, went across a roundabout that's on the way at which time a Police traffic car appeared behind me from one the other exits.

I pulled in to the retail park, so did they, I turned down the bit I wanted to park down, so did they...... Parked up and they pulled across the front of me, asked me to sit in the back of their car and cutting the story short, gave me a £30 fine and told me I need to change my numberplate

Even though you can clearly read it, basically now I've been pulled twice so am going to look out for a new plate and sell my current one

Just thought I'd share that wih you all, however all I'm going to do is stick a legal set over my current plate so that at the next Polo event, I can still use the "Illegal" ones

Is it the spacing or the plate size they did you on? Bit harsh IMO, I'd rather they went after the people using dodgy fonts (like italics etc), there are a few round here!

tut tut, naughty boy

it annoys me that police spend more time picking on things like this rather than people causing people real hassle and stress by smashing their windows (Reeyad & M@Turner).

...but i honestly don't see the point of having illegal plates really not worth the hassle from cops for so little gain.

ohhh i'm such a grumpy old man already  (i'm only 19!!!)

More the spacing, although when I asked him about the size, he said officially there's quite a bit wrong with it but what can you do.

Just got to look for a new plate now, there's one coming up at a DVLA Auction but the reserver price is £2700  It would be good to have though, it's 77 TOM

That's exactly what I said earlier, good minds think alike

I'm going to see what the bank balance is like nearer the time and if I've got a fair amount in there, I'll go down and see what happens.

I've got 2 paydays before it so... plus any donations are welcome

Had a Police Motorcyclist taking a long look at my German "show" plates when he rode past me yesterday.

Didn't do anything though, which I was quite suprised about. Almost as suprised as seeing a copper on a motorbike. Haven't seen one in ages.

I was thinking of getting T121 SVW and making it read TRIS VW

but I figured it'd create alot of hassle, not sure it's worth it

I always wanted M131TWO which would be near enough "m 13 twelve"

(the m would be for majestic, which was the full name of the inline skates i took the name from - which took their name from the people who investigated roswell)

but i have no idea how i would go about getting M131TWO

ideally i would just have 1312 lol
