Gti and Prams ...

Post by frazzle »

Ok Guys, so I'm delighted to say that we have a junior on the way :D . Went to look at pram/push chair type things and since then I have been worrying that it won't fit into the boot of the Polo when folded up. Does anyone here run a polo and an offspring and have any bother fitting everything in? I don't want to sell but I can see a change on the horizon unless someone can reassure me that prams and babies fit into 5dr Gti's.

congrats on the impending arrival. we have a little person arriving in july, and bought our 5dr gti for this very reason. We already had our pushchair/travel system, and took it with us when we went to look at the car.

I wont lie, it's a tight fit to get the pushchair in the boot, but it goes in! (not really room for much else)

so yes it will fit, dont sell up!

Thanks, and congrats to you! That's a bit of a relief - is that with the parcel shelf in or out? You'll be glad you've got the 'wipe clean' leather - tho' if I were you and had those lovely seats I would get one of these:

Protects the leather and grips the child seat. I'm getting one for the my saab as it also has leather.

parcel shelf in. It's a Mamas and Papas one, fairly chunky thing, pretty sure it wasnt the smallest on the market so you should be OK. And I'll definately be getting one of those seat pads! wipe clean was one of the main reasons I wanted one with leather!

The store will happily let you take the buggys out to your car to try them for size before you buy. We did it the wrong way around and got the buggy first, then found a car it would fit
