mine is just a little beep too.... think its great because people with other polo's who dont know about it look at you funny and they're like.....how come mine doesnt do that? lol

Also got the autolock too, it scared a few people when they got in and heard the doors lock as we set off....think they thought i was trying to kidnap them.

Did mine with VAG - COM...clever...

Been looking at this topic for while and am interested in the auto lock feature, and the beep sound when you lock, un-lock the doors. I have a 9n3, but it should be the same, it has remote key locking, what do I have to do for these features to work, the beeping and the autolock didnt come as standard

You need to either take it to a VW dealer or specialist. And ask them to do it. Or if know anyone who has VAG COM it can be done on that.

poloracer...where are you based? I am sure someone on here can help you out with a vagcom. If you are close to either Leamington Spa or Gloucester I can help you out.
I set up my autolock and bleep today in about 2 minutes. Dealers will normally expect you to pay an hours labour.

Had my autolock and bleep done today. Mine aint too loud either, just a sharp chirp when locking and double churp when unlocking. If u leave the door open or boot it doesnt churp, so its quite good actually. Liking autolock too 8)

I thought the chirp was good for about a day. Its handy as I always tend to be about 10ft away and with my back to the car when I lock it so at least the chirp tells me its locked or not. However today the chirp started to get a bit annoying, its very loud if you are in a built up area and now I think it sounds like a Clifford alarm.

right no more of that chirp. It really did start to annoy me so I switched it off today.

I did try and get the lock/unlock of the drivers door only to switch to all doors on a single remote press but there seems to be no way to do this.
