i would check the rubber seal round the door, or it could be a leaky water pipe, did you use the rear washer last time you were in the car? thats all i can think of :?

my friend had this problem in her mk4 Golf, they tried everything... new sun roof, new windscreen, door rubbers... in the end it turned out it was coming the bit behind the dash where all the wires come in.
Would be worth looking around that area?

had the same prob with mine,it turned out to be the drain from the sunroof,in the end they (vw) repaired the pipe where the connector had came apart, replaced the carpet and had to replace the instrument cluster and center console as the water was getting every where .

Think ive found the problem.. the pipe had come apart by the rear seat belt, dribbled down the wheelarch and into the footwell...

No it wasnt.

I took it to the dealers and they found a leak on the rear door, and i thought it was fixed. :? . Then about a week ago it seemed to be back again, I've now found another leak from the front A pillar. Water seems to flow through a seam at the joint between the A pillar and the windscreen panel.

update...

Car now with dealer 2 leaks found ... besides this one..

It turned out to be the sunroof pipe inside the a pillar which had come adrift plus a couple of small leaks behind the dash..
The bloke who did the job said that they had never spent so much time sorting out a water leak (in on the 25/5 had it back 6/6) as the whole interior had to come out, dash and all.. They seem to have sorted out the rattles from the dash as well.. 8)
