does anyone know a free car data check or to tell something about a car from is plate,

www.rac.co.uk - go to my RAC and use the search there

or google DVLA Car Check - i think its the top link.

Woudl give you the full URL but "vechiles" is filtered through websense at work

Try going to http://www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/

Think thats the one Dino is on about. Just click on Vehicle Enquiry button on the left. You need to know the make of the car aswell as the plate but you can always get that from RAC if you need to. This one gives a little bit more info RAC.
