PROBLEM WIT 1 LTR POLO??????
1995 vw polo 1ltr... when started the temperature guage rises in a few minutes wich i think is due to the fan not working. but the big problem is that when the car is reasonablly warm an i turn on the heat there is only cold air coming from the heaters and it makes no difference how long i leave the car running for IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WHO CAN HELP ME PLEASE??????????????????

am new to this forum, been a keen follower of the vw scene 4 a while now, but now ive actually got me dub i thought id be of more use on the forum 
ur problem mate, it sounds like ur head gasket has gone. open ur water bottle, and check to see if there is any oil mixed in with the water, if this is the case then u definately have. other ways to check are to rev your engine and if there are air bubbles coming up through ur water bottle, and if your car has been loosing water. alos take of the oil cap on the top of ur engine and check to see if it has gone all milky and built up some form off gloop. hope this helps mate
