snowing all night in renfrewshire - and now we have about a foot of snow - heres some pics

Here are mine, i'm only about 10 miles down the road from titch. I reckon about a foot has fallen so far,and it's still snowing now.

Yep, over here on the East coast just above Dundee, no pics yet, just going out to get some milk. About 8 inches but the roads appear clear in the village.

blimey u guys got it quite bad it seems!!! down here in the sunny south (well it is 2day at least) we had pathetic flurries of snow most of the day but none of it stuck!!

I blame the students*.

The students in the flat below me were back to making "the floor is vibrating" type noise last night that I went out to my new house (oh, yes!) and spent the night there. No furniture or carpets - just a sleeping bag and work to get done.

Not a sign of anything last night.

Woke up to about 6 inches on average and well over a foot in the drifts.

Trying to reverse the roadster out of the driveway resulted in a good few feet of sideways action but no rearward movement. After much kicking of snow about eventually got it to the bottom of the road whereupon it beached itself and refused to make any further progress. It was quite happy to slide sideways but completely unwilling to go anywhere useful.

So, one abandoned roadster (practically in the middle of the street - I'm a bit worried out it), one neighbour who said it wasn't in the way and he'd keep an eye on it, one hour of standing around waiting for a cab to turn up (after walking half a mile to get to a reasonable bit of road), and I've finally made it into the office. I got here just before 1 - I started trying to make the 12 mile journey at 8am.

I have fallen out of love the roadster. It also left me stranded with a puncture on Friday - no spare wheel, you see.

One very unhappy, cold and dejected, Deek.

* Although the 790kg, rear wheel drive, auto box, and wide summer tyres might have had something to do with it.

yeh i got snowed in @ ma mates bit. we were playing pro ev quite oblivious to then, then realised there was bout 5" of snow & still going strong

had a great snowball fight @ 2am tho

jst got home & theres a 2foot snow wave thing formed over my garage

we woke up to the snow this mornin, the bottom of my polo is lower than the level of snow so it was a bit too hard for me to get out an play

still managed to get out via use of a shovel, lots of wheel spin and a lot of sweary words!

must of had at least six inches on the roof!

Someone has decided to park their car on some grass outside my street

Came home from Edinburgh this morning, hardly snowing there, came to falkirk and the motorway was covered in deep snow.

Got to my street and i couldnt even see where it was! Tried to turn into the street and didnt get anywhere. There was no snow on the main road, but about a foot on my street, took me a few seconds to get over it, the snow was just coming onto my bonnet as i drove to my door.

And then i got stuck at my door, had to get my mum and dad to push me into my drive

I love snow.

i'm siding with the welshie....... where's our bloody outdoor ice cream? it's been cold enough for a large enough portion of the year already (to whit: it's march 13th and i'm wearing shirt, jumper and coat indoors with a 1200w fan heater on), and you're all teasing with pictures of northern climes covered in lots of thick icing, i want the payback!

last proper snow i saw was in the lake district at new years, when we found a tiny bit of some practically fossilised stuff in a bit of a mountain hollow that couldn't have seen proper sun for a few weeks...

coulda done with it more last week when i was having to work, tho
