Anyone seen these? MENTALISTS!

Good to see there's still some nutters in the world...

^^^^ this is insane - someone described it as "ocelot scaldingly fast". I'd have to agree because i'm otherwise speechless and having to go into hospital for my jaw to be rewelded to my face.

And this is just silly... what the hell is going on?! (wait for it / fastforward to about halfway through for the action to start)

further proof if it were needed that living in the netherlands makes you genetically predisposed to being utterly mad (what IS that thing?!)

credits of the sites i randomly ran across giving me these: First link from Jalopnik........ second from http://www.deutsche-werke.de/goggo.htm --- too bad their videos of the feature car aren't even up to THAT standard!

Despite what it says, the top vid aint an Audi R8 - its a single seater kit car with a M-power BMW engine of some description iirc

fair doos, i've no way of telling it from any other racer just with a vague cockpit view like that

i was concentrating more on the sheer face-ripping speed which he tore up there - even at full throttle 96% of the time and getting it on two wheels in the corners i couldn't have done that stretch in under 10 minutes :D

Amazing isnt it, me and a mate went to the Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb- certain cars were doing 0-100 up the hill in less than 3 secs!

Nice piece of kit... "M3 powered Euro S52 custom"

There is no way my hand would leave the steering wheel for even 0.01 of a second at that speed

And as for the 2nd vid, I'm guessing my shoe weighs more than that car.

Also is that a MK3 Polo I see at 3min 17secs 8)

Its well worth it - we went last year when it was the Centenary year - lots of wierd and wonderful contraptions there. There are some pics here for anyone interested

We have some videos somewhere from directly behind the start line - you can hear the chippings being flicked up and flying up past the camera!

it's probably still got the original gears in it.... :) i imagine some kind of scootery friction clutch designed for a chuggy lawnmower engine, so it doesn't take off so well when coupled to a revvy 500cc sports bike engine or whatever it is ... not til you get to about 10 or 15mph anyway, when it almost wheelies.

Where's shelsey walsh then? I fancy a relaxing cruise up there sometime...
