looking at the rim are they 6 inch wide? if so your standard wheel bolts will be to short you need 1and a half the diameter so m12 thread would need 18mm sticking from the rear of the wheel when you drop a bolt into the wheel hole mine are 6 inch i had the same problem
don't rist it if your not sure new bolts are only £20 and your worth more
great you were lucky to get to right bolts as part of the deal dont forget to carry 4 shorter bolts in the boot as the ones on the bbs are too long for the steel spare if you have a flat
the locking bolt you need are m12 x 1.5 pitch 30mm long (standard bolts are 23mm long) i got second hand ones off the bay mcgard number 27013 but they were too long so had to cut 10mm off each one in work think mine were vauxhall ones
don't risk fitting them without locking bolts unless you collect house bricks
i had a cross threaded bolt when i bought my car and i was told i'd need to replace the hub and bearing so i got the parts and then my sister's b/f looked at it and just re-drilled the hole for me for free. don't know if that's relelvent to ya?
i guess i'll need longer bolts when i get my alloys then
and probably locking bolts as i live in the origin of chavs
be right on the limit on the front because you have the brake disk to take into acount the threads are in the hub and you just have a clearance hole in the disk so you lose another 3mm or so if in doubt get someone who knows to check new bolts are not to dear anyway

3 full turns of a bolt with a 1.5 mm pitch would be 4.5 mm thread engagement pretty sure thats no where near enough to obtain full strength
the engineering guide lines are 1.5 times diameter i.e m12 bolt ideally 18mm engagement you can play with it a little but not by much
if your not sure buy longer bolts its only £20 you could kill yourself and others lifes worth more then £20
i ordered some locking wheel nuts from a guy who actually knew what he was on about today and im picking them up in the morning so ill post up some pics of my car with the new wheels tomorrow
