I'd heard somewhere that the UK launch had been put back due to UK launch stock being diverted to the Aussies due to the popularity of the car over there........ Would have thought the launch over here can only be a month or two away if they are starting to arrive in this country now.

Think i might puuuuurchase one as the Fabia's replacement in a few years.....

Cheers

I think they are nice, BUT they are too much like the Golf shrunk down a bit.

Also xenons arent even standard, which as you know the 6n2 had them as standard 6 years ago.

Its obvious that the new GTi has lots more potential power wise. You might argue that you can chip it once you have it, but I say that you shouldn't have to. My take on the latest Polo after having a few as courtosy cars is that its a much more grown up car. From the dash layout to the exterior styling. The current Gti is funky, cool and pretty nippy. The new one is a bigger brother but not quite as bit as the golf. When I change my Polo I def wont be plumping for the 9n3 GTi, I will just fork out that extra few grand and get the daddy (mk5 golf gti).

for the money vw are asking for the polo gti it would make more sense to plump for the golf gti IMO they are asking way too much for the polo

Whats the asking price? The 6n2 was somit like £13k when new (which was lots then, but worth it ofcourse)
