I still have hopes for a true GTI to emerge - this has to be 'just' a teaser. Especially since the GT trim level will be available on less powerful engines.

VW are very conservative about power output figures, in standard form some cars have been quoted at 145bhp on the rollers. The extra power comes from the injectors - no chip or turbo upgrade. If you chip this 130tdi engine you'd be upto 160+bhp -

Also you don't really think the tdi pd 100 is only has 100bhp do you!! More like 110/115.
