Im interested in trying to add this feature to the car if possible... although there may be too much expense required as im not sure if my seats already have the heating elements built in... the fuse box also does not contain the fuse or the connector for the wiring so it requires a complete from scratch installation.... great

I got leathers with elements but I never installed the wiring for them.

To make it work you need to install a loom for them. If you are decent at auto electrics I'm sure you would find it easy. I have read how-tos for installing aftermarket heated seats for boras, but this was american so I dont know how apt it is. I am good when it comes to the mechanics but wiring diagrams confuse the hell out of me.

If you manage to make it work, please make a how to and post it here, Id love to make the seats work.

So how do you determine if you have elements in the seats or not ????????

only way id imagine is to strip the seat down and see if they're there...not an easy job by any stretch unless you're confident

They will have elements if they have a plug comming from underneath the seat, you can see it if you pop you head down there.

Like i said its tricky getting the right bits, I have ETKA and it doesn't list the parts I need. VW parts werent much help either. Its because there are quite a few different wires within the loom. You would have to mock up a loom yourself, its doable if you are good at auto-electrics.
