Anyone have one of these? Is there a VW one available?

Yep, I carry bikes on my 9n.

I got the Thule roof bar system from http://www.roofbox.co.uk and use it with a couple of fairly standard Halfords cycle racks. Works a treat.

Cheers! I'll have a look into that.
At least I know non VW ones work.

I wanted to get a rear loader but everyone I've seen would be pulling down on the spoiler
So I guess it's on the roof.

I don't like the look of the side loaders.

I used a rear loader on my Polo Gti and it put two dents in the boot where the pads touched! :( Never again!

The Thule roof bar systems are great and won't damage your car at all! They even use the locating holes in the roof provided by VW so you know you've got them in the right place etc.

I've used the Thule roof bars and they did actually scratch my roof, where the rubber feet went :? I managed to polish them out quite well, but just a warning.
