Just Purchased a 2002 1.2 Polo Need a lil guidance please

Post by B-Man »

Hi,

My vortex kit is on order, only i would like to know what dinos wheels are and where i might get my mitts on them? (also a price wud b nice)

p.s. anyone know the price of primed strip bumpers + spray as mine are black and ugly ...

EDIT: OO also i have noticed a couple of 9N's around with slightly modified bonnets, they seem to change the shape of the light... just wondered if that was a light mod or a body mod + if anyone knows where they at :P ...

cheers

/Peace

Welcome to UK Polo's.

My alloys are standard VW Contour, 16". You might be able to get a set on eBay. . ?

You could ask in the VAG parts forum on here about bump strips - but i'm not too sure if they are available already primed - could well be wrong!

I paid £15 for a rear one last week from a dealer so might be worth ascertaining if it's cheaper to buy from the dealer than getting it delivered from VAG parts and get a body shop to spray them (unless your going to do it yourself)

EDIT - Just a thought you may be talking about the alloys in my signature (which is a photoshop - but i am saving for a set myself). They are Montreal 2 alloys, made by BBS for VW - there is a few sets on eBay at the mo.

Cheers for the link Dino, only i dont rekon my baby will be ready for april 2nd, although i might pootle along to see whats happenin :)

another quik question i realised today, on ebay im watching a vortex kit, its displayed on a 5 dr paintshop, yet all the polos with them on this forum happen to be 3dr , my polo is a 5 door (sad to say it) just wondering if the kit still fits?

p.s. fought those alloys were a bit knarley in that pik :)

Doesn't really matter that your car is not ready for Pod - you'd be able to meet us lot and get to look at other polo's for more inspiration.

In reply to the votex kit.

The body shape of the car is the same 3 or 5 dr so the kit will fit :)

Agreed (and didn't notice that comment before) definitely nothing wrong with 5drs. I used to think they weren't so nice but they are! You have to own one to appreciate :P

There only a pain when you do this...
