Does anyone know what is involved in fitting an 1.8t into a polo?

If you are good with mechanics you could do it yourself for under 2k by buying a written off MK3 Ibiza Cupra that uses the same chassis and swap everything over it would be easier for you to swap the dash aswell. A guy on a seat forum did this to his MK2 Ibiza by the time he sold the engine etc from the MK2 the transplant cost him nothing but his time, he did it in two weeks !!

If you can't do it yourself it will probaly work out not much more money to sell your car and buy the new Polo GTi with the 1.8T already in it.

Haha That's what I was thinking of doing and going for a blown VR6

Ive decided a new car would be nicer though! And cheaper, and more reliable :P

Audi TT 225 is a 1.8T, just with certain bits that are slightly different to the Golf 150bhp version

I saw a mk2 golf with an R32 engine in at Ultimate Dubs... omg fast!!
