First Service Indication

Hi all, i drive a 2003 1.2 55 E. I bought it with around 2900 miles on the clock last year, and shortly after (few hundred miles) the service light came up.

I found a technique to reset the computer on a thread on here somewhere, and used it at the time. So that the beep noise would go away on start up. As surely it didn't need serviced at 3000 and somethong, after just buying it from the dealers!

But i'm now wondering if the service sign will ever come up again!?, as I've just passed 10,000 and reckon it needs a service!

Just a guess but maybe when you reset it - it wont appear for another 10,000 miles so in theory the service light should come on at 13,000 miles.

If you feel it needs servicing just take it in and ask them to reset it after the service.

Thanks, I'm sure your right. Just wanted to know before I tell the dealer I've been fiddlin with it!
