Rear VW Badge

Post by ModifiedMadness »

Does anyone know if and how the Chrome bit comes apart from the black bit?

I need them seperating so I can colour code the black plastic.

On the back of the badge, there's some plastic rivets. Just get a knife and cut the tops of the rivets.

When you put the chrome bit on, use a bit of araldite to replace the bits you cut off.

Yeah, mine has six rivets on it. Just take them off using a stanley knife.

I stuck it on with some double-sided tape from halfords, about half an inch thin, and I stuck it along the VW bit on the back.

Does anyone fancy buying the one I've done?

It's not 100% perfect but ask anyone who saw it at Santa Pod and they should agree that it's good enough to go on a car.

I'd say it's about 95% spot on 8)

It's reflex silver in the centre by the way.

you should just take the black backing off and use little sticky pads to put it back on the boot lid!

So you took the chrome bit off the black plastic and just stuck the VW sign on the back?
