sadly getting rid of my MK3

Post by polonuts »

 sadly selling my MKIII. Have been given a car that my wife likes better than the polo so it has to go. I'm hoping that someone who cares about these cars buys it and not someone who will ruin it

 I am ashamed to say it, but its an orion Ghia  I used to own one when we first met and she has a soft spot for them. On the plus side of things its in immaculate original condition with a full service history, its even got the original ford stereo! The biggest bonus is that it was given to me so I can't really complain. Its going to be a sad day when the polo goes tho

giaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghghgh!!!!

Mind you, it's an alright way of getting about for free, can't see it lasting more than a couple years longer by now though :?

edit: urk, £50 starting bid and a short listing - you sure you didn't want to put it in autotrader / local rags for £300 or more to start with? Someone's walking away with that for a single note plus the price of a train journey... (hell, could be me if i can't get this ECU replaced)

I really like it! How much would you be happy getting for it? Has the head gasket been done yet?

Man! That was a good looking car too! I'd never seen it before. Wheels and lowerage looked cool

Shame you're selling it.

BTW, w here did you get the ABT instrument faces?

OK first of all thanks for the compliments. The car won't go for less than £300 which is the reserve. No I haven't had the need to change the head gasket yet but the timing belt was changed last MOT as a precaution.

BTW if anyone is interested this is for sale off E-bay for £350 OVNO

The ABT instrument faces are my own design which is available via E-mail to anyone who wants em. Just PM or e-mail me with your address and I will send them to you. All you need is a sheet of good quality photo paper and some prit-stick

   ITS GONE

SOLD THE CAR FOR £300.

on the plus side of things its gone to a young mother who fell in love with it as soon as she saw it. She has already asked me what other kinds of things she can do to the car and has said that she wants to keep the parts VAG!!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo releived that its going to a good home. I have told her about UK polos and she has said that she will probably join.

I will still keep popping in on the forum as well, as I don't think it will be long before I get another MKIII. Just hope that you lot don't mind a Ford owner posting on the forum
