I done an 8.47 earlier but it's not as easy when you're starting and stopping the timer
Luckily the road was empty so I could stop and do it from standing, and yes it was a 60 road.
Gave it 2 attempts, the first had a lot of wheelspin on the start which was 8.55 then the 2nd had a little bit of spin which was the 8.47.
It would be interesting to do it properly though.

I've clocked a 0-60 in 7.7 secs timed by the passanger and me shouting when the speedo went past 60 this was when I had the original Michelin Pilots I could drop the clutch at 4,000 revs and it wouldn't wheel spin just take off. I can't do that now with Goodyear F1s or Yoks AVS Sports it just lights the tyres up. Don't know how accurate it was but it had almost no petrol and was a very cold night. The speedo was probaly out a little so maybe more like 8 secs to 60 which is close to vags figures who run the car with half a tank of petrol plus passanger and time it to 62mph
(Pilots were good off the line but the F1s are better in every other way)

[quote="Wardy"]Hmm, interesting - what revs were you dropping the clutch at?
Steve[/quote
Not too high really, but I think I need some new tyres (fronts definately) if I'd have chosen to earlier I could have taken a roundabout sideways, I only touched the gas a little bit, was good fun though
The revs were maybe 3-3.5k on the first and a bit less on the second.
