Sony Headunit....

Post by tom-polo53 »

Hi,

I took my sony headunit out earlier. But now when I have gone back to putting it in its asking for a security code. I bought it quite a while ago.

Does anyone know what the factory security code is please? (I didnt change it originally) 4 digit code..

Thanks!

Im pretty sure it's different for every unit. Should be in your handbook - otherwise you need the serial number and VW can ascertain it from Germany.

If it's not a standard VW H/U then you can try Sony yeah, if they can't give you the code then they'll no doubt be able to recommend someone who can.

there are people on the net who can get codes for you. unsure if they are free though. search about, bound to be cheaper than vw or sony
