Does the BBS rim have a model number or anything? And it's a split rim isn't it - how many piece though?
Thanks,
Steve
Thanks,

Not sure yet to be honest, just getting the right details together so I can get quotes.
I've been recommended a mobile service, Wicked Wheels, a place in Prescot, Merseyside, 'The Wheel Clinic' in Sheffield, as well as places in Birmingham, Nottingham and just outside London!
I'm also going to ask my local VW dealer for advice, see if they use anyone. Will also give Awesome GTi in Warrington a call - see if they have any recommendations.
So I'll let you know once I've worked my way through that little lot!

areet mate, i am not trying to put you off but the re-furb companies will probs charge a fortune because they are split rims, i was quoted £100 plus v.a.t per wheel!
It aint that hard of a job to do yourself, i have just done mine for the grand total of £60ish (£20 of that was for the new centre caps from the dealers!!!) and they came out really well.
The polished lip was the most labourious part of the whole job, just going down through all the grades of wet and dry, then polishing, it takes time but the results are worth it.
As for the centres, i simply sanded them down and got the rust out before painting. but if you have more time then i would get them sandblasted and then painted.
I was in a bit of a rush but i managed to get them done in a weekend!

Holy smoke Batman! £100 a wheel?
That's rediculously overpriced, compared to these guys: http://www.wheelrefurbishing.co.uk/pricelist.htm
If I was spending £400 just getting them refurbed, I'd stick em up on eBay as is, and spend the £400 on a brand new set of wheels

Hi Wardy you should try Diamond Wheels based in Stockport, there website is http://www.diamond-wheels.net I've heard some good things from them. Got told to mention Darren with the yellow Corrado to a guy called Steve for some discount, never took up the offer in the end.
