How low to go with 15" wheels

Post by thedees1 »

how low would fellow gti owners recomend lowering on 15" wheels.

Also a rough price of different heights?

depends on width of wheels, you can go 80-90mm + on standard rims but using 8" x 15" like mine can go 60-70?mm unless you are rolling/ pulling arches...

few factors to take into account...

I'd say 75mm max as you'll end up popin your drive shaft!!

Plus you'll have problems getin over speed bumps etc!!

With minor arch mods, and i mean very minor my car very rarely catched unless im absolutly caining it in a tight corner then hit a bump.

Im down about 80mm ish with 15 x 7.5 wheels.

Any lower and i think it would look stupid.

60mm id say is perfect, but I would say that cause I have 60mm springs and shocks  In all honesty tho I wouldnt go much lower as it just takes the fun out of driving.
